It was a real pleasure to take part in The Department for Education's 'The Big September Switch' campaign, aimed at encouraging more people to explore a rewarding career in Early Years and childcare.
Having a young son, and personally seeing how important Early Years settings are, meant that this was a campaign that felt relevant and meaningful to me. I'm also aware it's an industry that is struggling at the moment for a number of reasons, some of them somewhat controversial. Regardless of the political landscape surrounding such providers, a career in Early Years can be fulfilling and highly rewarding - something that many career changers strive for.
